Is Gratitude Linked To Consumer Driven Practices?

I was reading Psychology Today in regards to gratitude. Something I thought was particularly interesting was that they found the more grateful you are, the less consumer-driven you are. The less grateful you are, the more consumer-driven you are. I never put those two thoughts together before, but as I absorbed this information, it made perfect sense!

A consumer-driven society tries to dictate to you what you should want and need. Whereas gratitude is showing an appreciation for what you ALREADY have.

Why Oola is so necessary to live a balanced life!

This leads to why the Oola principle of living a balanced life in an unbalanced world and Vision Boards are so powerful and needed. When you KNOW what YOU want in your life, it is easier for you to ignore the consumer-driven world. It is easier to say “No” to what doesn’t fit into your plan in the 7 areas of your life: Finances, Field (career), Faith, Fitness (mind and body), Family, Friends, and Fun. You can appreciate what others have, know that you are fine not having it yourself, and be grateful for what you do have in your life whether that happens to be tangible or non-tangible things.

Ways to begin living life less consumer-driven and more balanced.
